If QR fails (“Can't link new devices”), use the phone-number pairing code — it usually works better.

“Can't link new devices right now” means WhatsApp temporarily blocked QR. Use Phone code, remove old linked devices, or wait ~30 minutes.

1. WhatsApp → Settings → Linked devices → Link a device
2. Choose “Link with phone number” (not QR)
3. Enter the 8-digit code shown here
